I read Dear John because I thought it really applied to me. Dear John introduces a long lost soldier who is in the army with nothing better to do. He joined because he felt he needed to do so. He just goes on with life day by day, not really enjoying it but is okay with it, until he meets this girl. John goes from having sort of a dull life to falling in love with the most amazing girl in the world in his eyes. They spend as much time as they can together until he has to go back to Germany to follow up on his duties of being a U.S. soldier. Through the tearful goodbyes, John starts to wonder if things are beginning to change between him and Savannah. Can they make it?
