Neal Shusterman’s book, Bruiser, is a fictional book. If you enjoy being filled with suspense this is definitely the book for you. This book focuses on a brother and sister named Tennyson and Bronte and their family drama. This book also delves into their relationship with the odd kid out named Brewster. Brewster, nicknamed Bruiser, starts out not having many friends. Once Tennyson and Bronte befriend him, they find out why. It is not only that people do not understand Brewster but it is mostly his own choice not to have friends. He is protecting himself from the unimaginable only he and his family know.
This book really opens your eyes and makes you realize everyone has troubles with which they have to deal. It is an extreme journey all of the characters experience throughout this book. If you want to find out Brewster’s secret, I definitely recommend reading Bruiser.
