Foul Lines a Pro Basketball novel by Jack McCallum

The book, The Foul Lines, is a non-fiction book. The story starts by introducing a young basketball player named Kwaanzii Parker who is 18 years old. He and his brother were drafted by the NBF to play for the Los Angles Lakers. But Kwaanzii's brother had an accident and was not able to play for the rest of his life. Kwaanzii began to grow close to two of his teammates named Litanium and Jamal. Jamal was just about to graduate from Yale when he got drafted by the NBF. Jamal was in his last year of college but he was determined to drop out. As he began to live the life of a superstar the career of Mayne would soon be over because he was sentenced to up to 24 years in prison for running over a young woman. Mayne, who was the player of the year, was into drag racing just like the other players for his team.
