Boot Camp by Todd Strasser is about an intelligent fifteen year old kid named Garrett who is sent to a boot camp called Lake Harmony. His parents sent him there against his will to teach him respect and self discipline. The main reason they sent him there was because of a relationship he had with his teacher, Sabrina. As soon as Garrett’s parents found out about the relationship, they got her fired from her job. That didn’t stop Garrett from seeing her.
His parents thought the only way to break up their relationship was to send him away to boot camp so he can admit his mistakes and move on with his life. I enjoyed this book because it was very suspenseful and exciting. If you like books that are very adventurous this book could be for you!
