Glass by Ellen Hopkins

I enjoyed this book a lot. It expressed what I could only imagine a drug addicted teen mother would go through…withdrawals and everything. Kristina makes me feel the pain and addiction she goes through. I feel I want to reach out and help her but I can't. I have to sit there and watch her fail. This is what her mother is left to do. I think this book is extremely depressing. You need to be at a mature stage to handle and understand what is going on in Kristina's head. She goes through so much pain and agony that whenever I stopped reading, I felt quiet and alone just like Kristina. I think students would like this book if they want to know what happens to Kristina after reading Crank.
