American Son by Oscar De La Hoya

In this book, professional boxer, Oscar De La Hoya, gives a description of how life was for him growing up in East Los Angeles as the son of Mexican immigrants and the obstacles he had to overcome. I liked this book because it's an inspiring story of a man who, as a child, had very little and the promise he made his mother before she died made him who he is today.
