Cut by Patricia McCormick

I liked this book because what this book is based upon is the life of a teenage girl who is depressed or down because of her life at home. She cuts herself in a way to relieve herself of everything that is happening at home. She ends up going to an institution where she is being helped to fix the problem of cutting herself. But she doesn't talk at all the whole time she is there and they can't help her because she doesn't open up to anyone. The whole book is interesting and it kept me going until I finished it and that's what I like about it. I think other kids would like this book because they can probably relate to problems they have at home and with other people to whom they talk. I also think that students would like this book because some of them might be depressed and could relate to the way they relieve their pain. This book is really good because it's realistic fiction and many people can just relate to it in many ways.
