The Pact by Jodi Picoult

The Pact is a great book to read if you're looking for a love story with a mystery twist. I loved this book because it was easy to relate to it since it is about teenagers. Jodi Picoult is a writing genius in the way she incorporates a childhood friendship that grew into more with the mystery of a suicide. She keeps you on your toes just by the way the book is set up. It starts at the end and somehow winds up at the beginning while bouncing from present to future in between. Sometimes it gets a bit confusing because there are a lot of characters and you really have to pay attention to the timeframe about which Picoult is writing. But it is well worth the challenge. The really appealing thing is how it all ties in together at the end. I recommend this book to anyone who feels like indulging their mind in a book that really makes one think. Test your reading skills and have fun figuring out what happens.
