You can escape the law but you can't escape fate. When a plump business man hits and kills a gypsy woman whose father seems to be incredibly aged and having magical powers, would he not punish the fat man who got off free because of his chummy relationship with the judge? Being too big is certainly not good for your health but what happens when you shrink to nothing? The story is his quest to rid himself of the curse but at what cost to his wife and daughter? The end of this book blew me away. The read was incredible and I recommend it to everyone. It is relatively short and simple for Stephen King but this book entirely engulfs you in the plot.
