I liked this book because it was an exciting story about kids close to our age. The story is about a boy wrongly accused of a crime and sent to a desert in the middle of no where to dig holes everyday under the watchful eye of a not-so-friendly woman. Digging holes is a cruel and unusual punishment but the purpose may be more than meets the eye. I think other readers will enjoy the mysteries and twists of this story.
