The Color of Water by James McBride

I liked this book because it is an inspirational story about a black man and his white mother and how he was treated by outsiders. The book gives readers a view on what it’s like to be on the receiving end of prejudice and how that affects people and families. I think others will enjoy the story because of the triumphs achieved by this unfortunate character and his will to survive and succeed.
