I liked this book because I believe the issues it addresses are very real and present in our society. It is the story of a young girl and her family’s transition into American society. She is a high school girl caught between her family and their traditions and her new American lifestyle. This book is very easy to relate to and takes a realistic and sympathetic look at immigrants.
