Last week our students had fun reading and listening to stories written for the Dare to Scare Contest at our first Dare to Scare Community Event. During the month of October we had two writing contests running simultaneously, Dare to Scare Your Peers and Halloween Stories for a 3rd Grader. The winning writers each received a $25.00 gift card to Barnes and Nobel. Specials thanks to Mrs. Howard and the Language Arts Department for selecting our short story winning entries.
Not one but two writers were selected to win the Halloween Stories for a 3rd Grader prize, this was unplanned but the entries were too awesome to select just one. They are:
