Halo: Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund

Halo: Fall of Reach takes you into a war torn universe filled with many secrets. The novel follows a young child by the name of John through his life as a Spartan. The Spartan II program headed by Dr. Halsey kidnaps special children who fit the criteria and replaces them with clones. The real children become genetically engineered super humans. But, lurking in the darkness is a genocidal foe that no one could have imagined. I personally liked this book because of the suspense and the mystery that surrounds the Halo Universe. Being a huge Halo fan, I had to read the prologue to the award winning Xbox game. Other students would prefer this book as well because of the unexpectedness it brings and the perspective of another teenager’s life as a Spartan II.
