Callie is an average teenager growing up in a healthy family until her little brother, Sam, gets deathly sick with asthma. She is forced to grow up quickly and soon she is practically taking care of herself. She is overwhelmed with life's milestones and begins the lethal habit of cutting herself to forget about her internal battles. Before long, Callie ends up in a treatment facility for girls with substance abuse issues and eating disorders but there is no one with a self inflicted abuse problem.
Being completely alone, she stops speaking all together, resists treatment and will not speak with anyone. However, after a series of events she decides to make the journey to treatment. Anyone can relate to this coming of age story when this young girl goes through hell and back to find out how strong she really is.
