The book I read was about a kid named Dave. He was a child who was abused by his alcoholic mother. Dave's mother got to the point where she completely forgot about him. He had to sleep on the floor and cover himself with newspaper because he was not considered a member of the family. Everyone thought Dave was crazy because of all the things he would do. Teachers saw him and never thought about the life he was having. I liked this book because it shows how people could be going through hard times and you would not even know it. I think students would like this book because there are lots of events that happened that are not boring. You will want to keep reading to find out what is going to happen next.
