“Nineteen Minutes” is a story about a troubled kid in a small town who is looking for revenge. Jodi Picoult told the story from different character’s points of view so it really allowed you to understand how everyone felt. Peter and Josie grew up together in the small, quiet town of Sterling and they were known as the outcasts. They were best friends until Josie started dating Matt and ditched Peter. So then Peter was the only one getting picked on. One day Peter showed up at school with two handguns and two rifles and just started shooting. Ten people died that day including Josie's boyfriend, Matt. At the trial, questions come up and truths about what happened that day shock the town.
