Little Brother by Cory Doctorow

Little Brother is the story of a boy, Marcus Yallow, aka m1k3y or w1n5t0n, a senior at Cesar Chavez High School. It is a story about his fight for free speech, privacy and freedom after a terrorist attack on the Oakland Bay Bridge. He was taken away by a group of people and he was tortured into giving up most of his privacy (read: Passwords). He was held against his will. He was released and set free only to find out his captors were from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The next thing he knew everyone had some power in monitoring everyone in the San Francisco area. The DHS even turned his computer against him. Because of this, he decided to start up a movement called the XNet, a network of Xboxes that have software installed in them to turn them into powerful computers and rebel to obtain their freedoms. It is currently available free on the writer's website at: http://craphound.com/littlebrother/download/.
