The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

I really liked this book because it is full of surprising twists and turns. Dan Brown out did himself with this book. I particularly liked the surprise ending but I won't tell you anything about it. Although the atmosphere in this book is heavy with religion and religious symbols, it is still a great read even if the reader is not into religious readings. Students should read this book because the plot is action filled and laced with facts about Da Vinci, the Priory of Sion, Opus Dei and more importantly, the Holy Grail. It is controversial and complicated. I would not recommend it for younger teen readers. The Da Vinci Code may be criticized by Catholics and Christians for its supposed attack on the church and historical inaccuracy. But this book can only be fully appreciated if the reader reads with an open mind to the possibilities it offers.
