Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson

This book is not for children. "Twisted" is not appropriate for children because it talks about life. "Life" most kids have never even heard of before. This "life" is hidden from them because of their parents' love and terror. This book is completely, comprehensible and sadly realistic. "The noise grew louder. It was the avalanche, back to finish off whatever life was left clinging to the side of the mountain." Laurie does a great job at writing a book all high schoolers can relate to and keeps it interesting throught out the whole book.
