I enjoyed my book. It was interesting and it kept my attention. Speak is about a girl named Melinda, who has just entered her first year of high school. Over the summer she called the cops at a party. Her friends found out she was the one who called the police and got them into a lot of trouble for underage drinking. Melinda has a lot of ups and downs her freshman year because of the secret she is hiding from everyone. Her friends refuse to acknowledge her and Melinda ends up having no friends. Not even her best friend will hear her out. The secret she is holding in is the truth of what really happened to her at the party and the reason she had to call the police. Her secret is bone chilling and leaves you wanting to read more and more.
