I like this book because it is a true story about a child. This is a story of courage, endurance and real horror. It is a child abuse story told with remarkable wit and compassion. It is a story about a twelve year old little girl who had been sick for a long time with high fever and a lot of headaches. After these symptoms she had open-heart surgery. I recommend this book to people who like non-fiction books and stories of abuse.
