In Cold Blood is an excellent book. Truman Capote went above and beyond with his research into the lives of each member of the Clutter family, the two killers, Finney County, and everything relating to the Clutter murder case. The detail put into the book made the story come to life in my head. It was as if someone was telling me a story, detail by detail. By the end of the book you really know each character, in an unbiased way, for who they are. The story of the Clutter family murder and the search and capture of the two killers is one that I will never forget. The book also taught me that so many issues in life are not just black and white; there are many factors that lead the killers to commit such a terrible crime.
