This book was very suspenseful. The plot was written about Tonni V., who was reading the diary of another person, Pelly D. This book takes place in the future, after humans have evolved to have gills. Because of this evolution it has split societies on Earth based on the genetics of a person. This is the main controversy in the book when the government suppresses the lowest class and Earth is in complete turmoil. This book is fascinating because it is so different from anything I have ever read before. It holds your attention until the very last pages.
