This was one of the first books I read by Stephen King and since then he has become my favorite author. Carrie is a young girl with extraordinary powers who is misunderstood by her classmates. She has an overpowering mother who is very religious and made a mistake that Carrie is the product of. Throughout the book Carrie is pushed and pulled until she snaps and gets revenge at her high school prom. Stephen King is one of the most amazing writers I have ever read and I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys thrilling, well-written stories.
